Look out step aerobics… here I come!

I lent my sister the Body For Life book. Her last decision was that she would try the workout portion of the program, but that she wasn’t going to do the nutritional part. I couldn’t argue against it because no matter how hard I try, it is impossible for me to eat “cleanly” for more than 3 days in a row. I decided that on Monday I am going to start my second challenge. The focus of my first challenge was weight lifting, because I always liked doing it, but I never did it with any focus. This challenge is going to be about incorporating aerobics and yoga into the set. I don’t like being on the treadmill or elliptical trainer so I have decided to add a suite of aerobic-like classes to my schedule. I know that this isn’t exactly what Bill had in mind, but working out in a group (at least when it comes to aerobics) keeps me motivated. Not only that, but I have some severe poundage to lose and I think that it would be hard for me to overkill the aerobic portion of my workout. So look out step aerobics, here I come!

In other news, I am gearing down for the next couple of days so that when it comes time for the mother of all 24 hour shifts on Saturday, I am prepared. It is times like these when I become envious of ANY ONE who has made it through medical school. During the next few days I am going to be getting an outline for my paper together… yes… you read that correctly… my very first publication! Woohoo!
