Or on the weekend… you know… whatever it takes.
I sat on the couch at Winemonkey’s parent’s house with a glass of amazing wine (the Zin, which is now called El Dorado Zin) and my laptop, working out a bunch of statistics. We made an awesome chicken and dumplings dinner ala Alton Brown. It is kind of funny because his parents love to have us cook for them. This time, his stepmother’s brother and wife were visiting, so it was more of a big deal than usual. We also made coconut ice cream and it wasn’t very good… at least not to me. Perhaps because we used the following recipe:
2 cans coconut milk
1/4 cup sugar
mix and freeze.
Or it went something like that. But it tasted overpoweringly coconut. So the next time we make it we are going to try some other recipe. But the toasted coconut on top was awesome. And I made a mixed berry crisp as well, which turned out surprisingly well for not using a recipe.
Other than that, the weekend was uneventful… except… that I got a time lime from the woman at Moxie and I am feeling much more patient now that I know what is in store for me.
So with that, I will get back to some non-indulgent statistics… (though I am thinking about going home and pouring myself a gin and tonic to work through the rest of what I need to do) and figure out a lunch plan.
