It’s in the air.

October 6th, 2006

Well, as Christmas approaches - for anyone who makes their own gifts and the truly ambitious - I have started generating lists for the people closest to me. I have run into the problem of not knowing what to make this year. Because last year I gave out a lot of homemade gifts and I can’t actually replicate them because who needs two fleece scarves? Unfortunately, I made all of this non-difficult stuff last year leaving nothing non-difficult for this year.

I have one or two things up my sleeves, but other than that, I am left with a bunch of people without gifts.

Any ideas? I know how to knit (slowly), crochet (simply), sew (reasonably well as long as I don’t feel rushed), and make soap (worn out).

One Response to “It’s in the air.”

  1. Purse with a really long strap, so you can wear it diagonally over one shoulder and it lays about 2″ below your waist (approx. hip area). The purse could be knitted, crochetted, or simply made of material (like corderoy, fax suede, etc.) The purse should have multiple compartments (for cell, Ipod, wallet, etc.) I think you get the picture. Actually I saw something very similar at the organic food store in Davis last year (also could be considered a “tote bag” for Whole Foods). Did I expalin OK?
