The first wedding of the season…

And so it begins. The wedding circuit. Because we are spending so much money on getting to these weddings, the gifts are going to be handmade. I decided to embroider pillowcases for the first one. I think that they turned out pretty cute…

Well, it’s official.

The ceremony is over. The rental gown has been returned. The sweat and tears of 6 years of work has been washed away in a cold shower, and all I’m left with is…. THE AGONY OF FINDING A JOB!

Little Miss P has got herself her very own bloggy bloggerton.

positively wonderful

Even though my body has managed to brew up another urinary tract infection and I am once again on antibiotics – things have been on the up and up.

While at the doctor’s I found out that I have officially lost 20 pounds since December. Which is slow progress, but good progress. I keep telling myself that if I keep losing the weight slowly I will have more of a chance of keeping it off.

And for no reason at all I received flowers at work from my sweetheart. I love when he surprises me and keeps me on my toes. He makes me feel so special and loved. I don’t think I have ever been with someone that has been this attentive. As always, he is amazing.

Bake-a-holic

I think I might have a problem. Since I have turned my dissertation in, I have made 4 loaves of french bread, lasagna with homemade noodles and ricotta cheese, and dough for foccacia. Today I am baking the focaccia (I figured I would spell it several different ways in order to encompass all of my dumb-ass-i-tude), one giant graduation cake, and two little teeny tiramisus.

I think I am crazy.

Cold soba noodles.

And raw sushi. This is completely new to me!

Back to Black

She is bad-ass. I hope to see her in concert sometime soon.
