t minus one week

In one week we will have a house guest that will be staying with us for two weeks. This doesn’t sound like a big deal, except that this man is a total stranger to Winemonkey and I. He is a friend of a friend who is helping with harvest. So I am trying to get the guest room back into the guest room condition. Right now it is in a state of chaos. Mostly because we got a new paper shredder and it spilled out onto the carpet. So really there are shreds of paper all over the place, there are odds and ends of a closet on the bed (I am trying to provide this guy with a little bit of his own space), and the remnants of someone who did crafts a long time ago.

I am not a very good “keep things clean” kind of person.

Beating me up.

Today I fell down two steps and skinned both my knees. Every day that I go to the winery, I loose skin from some portion of my body. I imagine that I will completely regenerate every inch of my skin over the course of this harvest.

I responded to an ad on craigslist for a freelance web designer and whala! I got the job. I am doing a portfolio site for a local photographer. Sweet.

Money money money! love it!

I also love having my portfolio online. It makes things so much easier!

exposed

I got a phone call at work today from the Sac County Metro Fire Department. I had done a kick ass poster for DaimlerChrysler and for the Metro Fire Department a few months back. Well the fire department wants to use it in the national fire fighter calendar. HELLO – NATIONAL CALENDAR!

Sometimes I do love my job.
