I already want to be done planning. I am the type of person that has to have things done right away – not wait a year for the results.

things I know:

I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with this person.
yes, I would like my loved ones to be there.
yes, I would like to share the moment with everyone I know.

but I also know that I don’t need to spend $5000 or more on a wedding. I would much rather put that money towards something other than dinner, flowers, and a dress I will only wear once.

I know I will be shunned from the “girl” world for this blog, but it is just not me. why does everything have to be so damn expensive and over the top? what ever happened to simplicity?

I AM GETTING MARRIED!

Lam proposed and I said yes. I have never been this happy. Lam is the most fantastic person and I could not imagine my life without him in it. Very thankful that we were both at a point where we were ready and open to the idea of sharing our lives with another person.

Let the wedding planning begin!

Well I am officially unemployed at the moment. I think I will look back on this past year and remember it as the hardest year of my life. I realize that it is only October and that it seems a little early to make that call… but honestly, this has been a hard year. I am not looking forward to moving. I am also seriously uncomfortable with all of this unknowing. If anything I hope that all of the agony of this year helps make next year one of the best. Is that too much to ask?
