Baseball…

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

I haven’t been to a baseball game in years… and never to a Rivercats game.

I am looking forward to the game and spending time with Lisa!

$1.00 Coffee dude

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

So there is this place called Spinners right by my apartment here in the city. And Spinners makes cinnamon rolls, muffins, and Java City Coffee. All of which are fantastic. As if the quality wasn’t reason to go back again and again, this little gem of a place charges me $1.00 to refill my coffee mug in the morning and after 10 refills I get one free. That works out to $0.90 a refill. Plus if I buy a muffin or cinnamon roll AND a cup of coffee ($2.95 for the muffin combo and $2.50 for the cinnamon roll combo), I get TWO stamps.

One dollar refills. The only other place where I can get things for a dollar is the Dollar Store. This is a serious bargain to me folks!

The only disadvantage to this place is that I am pretty cofident (based on the deliciousness factor of their baked goods) that this is a high fat/ high calorie breakfast. Which is why I stick to the coffee most mornings.

My mom has been feeding me Spot’s Stew from Halo. She picked Halo because she could pronounce everything on the back of the can. And she likes that when she opens it, it smells like people food and has chunks of veggies in it. I like every flavor, including the salmon one…. I have to say, dry food, with a dollop of Stew and a touch of hot water make a perfect meal for this pug!

tots. Was this my last entry too? Because if it was, I am probably eating WAY TOO many tots.

And Monday comes in like a hippopotamus with a thyroid problem

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I might have fallen asleep at my desk today. For 10 minutes or so. And that…. THAT was the highlight of my day.

I don’t know why I am so tired… I think it has to do with the fact that I have somehow gotten out of the habit of taking my thyroid medicine in the mornings like I used to. The main problem is that I am just lazy. It is an extra step in my morning routine and I have all kinds of excuses as to why the medication takes a back burner to everything else. But really. It has to stop.

I also need to start doing yoga again. I have noticed some MAJOR tension in my shoulders and legs and neck. Yoga generally helps. The one hour massage, courtesy of Miss P for my 30th birthday, will also help in the process. I am looking forward to this Friday. Lisa and Lam are going to puppy sit while I get pampered. I think Miss P might already have an appointment that night as well… so maybe I will run into her at the spa. Does that sound snobby? Good. =)

cockroach

Seriously. I found a dying cockroach in my apartment. I had a great weekend. I didn’t need to come home to that.
