Ethical?

I believe what I am doing is completely unethical. I attended an ethics training last week. And for some reason one of the guys reminded me of someone. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, until I took this picture:

Then it hit me.

Napoleon Dynamite in 30-35 years.

Of course, that is all I could think about the rest of the video.

Like Mother and Auntie

Like mother and auntie, like daughter. Today we met Miss P and little Miss M for coffee at the Starbucks where they are famous, and little Miss M had on a pink stripy sweater, a navy blue scarf, a teddy bear backpack, and a lanyard with a jump drive. So much like her mom (and me on some occassions) that it only made me love her even more.

I wish I had caught her swigging back the cappuccino.

Poor keyboard

It seems that the right side of my keyboard is sticky. And by sticky, i mean that i might have spilled something on it a long, long time ago and now the buttons are a little more difficult to depress. Don’t get me wrong, it still works. Except that i have to adjust my typing habits to accommodate the extra pressure.

That should teach me to drink anything but water next to my computer. At least the only thing water can do is short out the whole system.

Christmas Preview

I don’t know what has gotten into me this year, but I feel compelled to make as much as I can for Christmas. Make versus buy.

One of the things I made are the tags for the presents. I love the font in these and will probably use it for at least one other project. It is called Sketch Rockerfeller and I downloaded it for free. The graphics are from Microsoft Clip Art.

Stay tuned for more Christmas projects!

In Powerpoint, I made a 3×5 rectangle (I later deleted it, I just used it for borders). I added the text and graphics, arranging them how I wanted. Then I copied the design and laid 4 per page. Once complete, I converted to a pdf and printed the tags on regular cardstock. I used a papercutter then a round corner punch to complete the project. They are a little big for gift tags, but I think that adds to their charm. Next year, whatever I make will be a little smaller.
