When you are asked to write a letter of recommendation for a friend, you write nice things. When you write a letter of recommendation for friends who are seeking to adopt a child, you write a love letter. Or at least that is what I think you write.
But have you ever tried to articulate why you love the people you love? What makes them so absolutely wonderful that you find yourself hanging out with them, enjoying their company, year after year after year? And most importantly, have you ever told them?
This letter was no small feat. It took a week to write, including the heavy editing so as to make it sound a little less sappy. But you know, it is still pretty sappy. And this letter, didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg.
I hope that it serves its purpose and the two of them are given the opportunity to show another human being their joys, love and devotion.
