Audio Books

So during my 4.5 hour daily commute, I have started listening to audio books. My first was Eat, Pray, Love… and I loved it. It was read by the author, Elizabeth Gilbert, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have started on my second book… and I don’t know if it is the subject matter or the person reading it, but I just can not get into it. It is “In Defense of Food” by Michael Pollan read by Scott Brick. And it is BORING.

So besides David Sedaris and Anthony Bourdain, does anyone have a favorite audio book/author?

  • I would also recommend Elizabeth Gilbert’s most recent book, Committed. An interesting perspective on marriage.

For easy listening/reading anything by Jennifer Weiner. I know she has also recently come out with a bunch of new stuff.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett was an amazing book, not sure how it would translate to an audio though.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen also an amazing read.

I’ve been wanting to read this: The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake: A Novel
    by Bender, Aimee.

I could recommend a TON more based on the reading I’ve done this past year. I should have been keeping a list……
