look out martha stewart!
Monday, January 28th, 2008This weekend was another weekend spent being submersed in wedding planning and crafting. I hate to admit this but I am so in my element right now - I don’t want to be doing anything else.
Saturday we had our engagement photos taken. Amazingly it was a gorgeous day (even though the weatherman said 70% chance of rain). I don’t know how we dodged that bullet. I realized on Saturday that our photographer is awesome. It eases my mind to know that he will be with us on our wedding day.
And then today. Today was the cake tasting day. I think I built it up to much, because really it wasn’t all that much fun. Yeah, we got to eat free cake and have free coffee….but other than that it is kind of weird having someone watch you while you take bites of mini cakes.
I also spent the weekend working on crafting. Peace cranes, gluing mini flowers to tree branches, cutting and folding a couple dozen sheets of paper. Good stuff. I feel like Martha Stewart over here. Below are some pictures of what our centerpieces are going to look like. This is just a mock-up. More details will follow. The first picture is what I came home with and had to convince Lam that it would be fabulous.

break out the scissors
Friday, January 25th, 2008Things over here have broken out into full wedding planning mode. I think this is the first time in a really long time that I have gotten this excited about something. Lam says it is nice to see me so passionate about something other than him. :)
Thank god for Chelle because she is the crafting queen. I would be lost in a pile of fabrics and paper without her, probably passed out from the glue fumes. This is just one of the many many reasons why she is the maid of honor.
I bought my dress on Monday which was the first “big” purchase of the wedding. I love it mostly because I feel like such a princess in it (even without the big poofy skirt).
The first official craft night is next Wednesday. Let the origami madness begin!
bridal extravaganza
