iPod question…

You know… I am generally pretty good with the technology. But I am having an issue with my iPod. Currently I have over 30 GB of music in my library. I only have a 30 GB iPod. So I keep getting this error with the sync saying that my iPod doesn’t have any space and would I like iTunes to create a playlist for updating my pod. And i don’t want them to make a list. I went through my library and unchecked a butt-load of songs that I don’t “need” on my iPod. But when I choose to update “Only the checked songs” it tells me that I have run out of memory. Now I know that I have unchecked enough music that it is below 27 GB…

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Filled to the brim

It is official. My iPod is filled to the brim with wonderful delicious musical goodness. Now I just have to figure out how to get it to recognize what songs I feel I can leave at home and which ones I can’t live without. I have tried unchecking songs in the library, then updating the pod, but that didn’t seem to work… I guess I will have to keep unchecking stuff until there is enough room.

iTunes heaven.

I had almost forgotten! On my way into work I heard the new Nine Inch Nails song and I thought, “Hey I better check when I get into work to see if they have it yet.” Then, I read Mac’s site before I went to iTunes, and again I was reminded to get over there and check it out… And…. iTunes DID have it! And not only did they have the new Nine Inch Nails CD, With Teeth, they also had the new Jim Boggia CD and Stargazer Lily, who wasn’t on iTunes last month, are there now! It was a music extravaganza!

I am in heaven. Absolute heaven. Life is good.

However, from the Stargazer Lily site, I have found out that they are quitting and doing something different. I wish them luck. They are fun!

KODO

All I have to say is that if you haven’t seen them, GO!

It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen on stage. The muscles of these men trump the muscles of every man I have ever seen. And all with a purpose. Half of the time I was amazed at their sheer strength, the other half of the time, their stamina. They are a must see!

Made it through the storm.

Winemonkey rented a car and took two days off from work to help me with my sister and her break up. Can anyone say “He’s the FREAKIN BEST?!?!”

‘Cause he is.

Break ups suck. I am glad that she is feeling better about their mutual decision.

p.s. Eminem’s new CD is out. I can’t stop listening to it. Me listening to Eminem is one of the mysteries of the world. In general I would be listening to jazz on NPR and here I am rocking out. It is one of my defining contradictions.

Crush.

I saw Galactic at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma on Friday. They ROCKED! I missed the opener, That 1 Guy, who apparently also kicked ass. There is a video for one of his songs and a news clip about what he does at this website. Anyway – I hadn’t seen live music in forever so it was great to get out and enjoy life.

Crush is starting. No more weekends free for winemonkey. He starts his long days, six days a week now. =( No more Saturdays laying in bed, thinking about what it is going to be like when Crush starts. But on the flip side, I will get more time to be “crafty”… and not in the Beastie Boys sort of way either! This is the time of year where I get my christmas presents started and make some clothes. Perhaps Porter and I will even get back into soap making. Whatever the months ahead hold, I look forward to them. Even if it includes moving fiberglass boxes full of air sampling equipment…. in 100+ degree weather… Okay. Maybe not that. But that is what I get to do today.

This weekend I made lamb curry for dinner with naan, kick ass pink grapefruit martinis, crepes with a savory chicken filling, and chocolate-peanutbutter sundaes. How much of this is BFL approved? NONE OF IT! And I didn’t choke on a single swallow. Thanks BFL gods!
